
Order and Payment Policy
This policy applies to all orders and products created by Sweet Shenanigans Custom Desserts. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Advance Order and Notification
General Orders
General orders and custom cupcake orders require a 7 day notice at minimum.
Custom and Complex Orders
Catering orders and custom tiered cakes require a 4 week notice at minimum.
Custom single-tier cakes require a 14 day notice at minimum.
Rush Orders
A rush fee may be applied to any orders placed with less than the required notice. This fee will be 35% of the total amount due at the time of placing the order.
Equipment Rental
Sweet Shenanigans Custom Desserts offers equipment rentals such as cake stands, serving trays, and other display products. Equipment rental prices include a non-refundable rental fee and a refundable security deposit. The rented equipment must be cleaned and returned within the time frame outlined in your invoice or contract in order to have your deposit refunded. Equipment that is returned outside of this time frame will result in a forfeit of your deposit and will not be refunded. Equipment that has not been cleaned or has been damaged upon return will also result in a forfeit of your deposit.
Intellectual property and copyright
No exact duplicates
While you may provide photos for inspiration, we cannot guarantee an exact duplication of another baker's or company's design. All of our custom creations are subject to our own artistic interpretation.
Trademarked designs
We cannot replicate designs that are officially trademarked or copyrighted without written permission from the owner. This includes, but is not limited to, popular characters, logos, and brand names. We will work with you to create a beautiful alternative that avoids any trademark infringement.
Product Variations
All of our desserts are made by hand. While we strive for consistency, slight variations in color, decoration, and design may occur.
Disclaimer
By ordering a custom dessert, you acknowledge that Sweet Shenanigans Custom Desserts is not liable for issues related to your choice of design, including potential copyright infringement if you insist on a particular design.
Order Modifications
Modification Window
Order modifications, including a change of delivery date and time, may be requested within the time frame stated on your invoice or contract. Any request made outside of the stated time frame cannot be guaranteed and may incur an additional fee.
Orders that require a full payment due at the time of ordering cannot be modified once the payment has been accepted.
Payment Structure
Non-refundable Deposit
Catering orders and custom tiered cake orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm and secure your order and date. Orders will not be accepted until the deposit payment has been accepted.
Payment Due Date
If your order requires a deposit, final payment will be due 7 days prior to the delivery date. If the remaining balance is not paid in full within this time frame, your order is subject to cancellation and your deposit will not be refunded.
Full Payment
With the exception of catering and custom tiered cakes, all orders require full payment due at the time your order is placed. Orders will not be accepted until the full payment has been accepted.
Payment Method
Accepted payment methods include most major credit cards, apple pay, google pay, and cash app. A digital invoice will be sent to you via email with a provided payment link. We currently do not accept cash for orders. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Additional Terms
All Sales Final
Due to the perishable nature of our products, all sales of desserts and custom orders are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once orders are finalized.
Exceptions
While we maintain a strict "all sales final" policy, we are committed to providing high-quality products. In the unlikely event that you receive a dessert that is not as specified on your invoice or contract, please refer to the Refund Policy tab on this page for next steps.
Transport and Handling
Once an order is delivered, the responsibility for the product is transferred to the customer. We are not liable for any damages that occur after the delivery receipt has been signed. We can provide instructions for proper handling and storage, but it is the customer's responsibility to follow them.
Outdoor events and weather
For outdoor events, conditions such as sunlight, heat, humidity, and insects can affect the quality of your dessert. We are not responsible for any damage to products displayed outdoors due to weather or other conditions.
Unclaimed Orders
We reserve the right to sell unclaimed orders and issue no refunds if a customer is not available to receive the order within the specific time frame outlined on the invoice or contract.
Allergen disclaimer
Our products are created in a home that uses dairy, nuts, wheat, and other common allergens. We cannot guarantee our products are allergen-free.
